Despair
This photo was taken on a trip to Ecuador in November 2010. I was on this trip with 30 other Rotarians and their guests. The main purpose of the trip was to distribute 540 wheelchairs to locals. We worked alongside local Rotarians for a week and we also had the chance to tour some schools that the Rotary clubs had helped.
The schools are very small, they would put 20-30 kids in a class that we would say is too small for 10. On this one particular day, I was walking by and saw this little girl. I crouched down and just as I was ready to take the photo she looked at me. I got 3 frames and this one was my favorite. After showing the photo to another team member on the back of my camera, my team mate commented on how all she saw was despair in her eyes. Since that time, I have named this photo “Despair”.
Right now, it is a 24×36 inch print being displayed in my living room.

Timmins Model Session: Sarah
I recently worked with a great model named Sarah. The goal of this session was to create some images we could both use in our respective portfolios. This turned out to be a collaborative effort, with each of us providing suggestions for poses and locations. We created many great images, but here are my favorites:

Go Bruins
My friends I really don’t follow hockey. But when Renelle and I talked about doing a Bruins theme photo shoot, I just had to say GO Bruins!
Renelle is a very talented Hair dresser and professional makeup artist at Be Fierce, a new Hair salon in town and she was such a pleasure to work with!

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow!
Every now and then you meet someone during a photo session that just inspires you to give back. That was the case when I created a family portrait for the young lady below. I don’t treat the people I photograph as clients, i treat them like friends. I like to talk to them and get to know them. During this particular session, I learned that this beautiful 17 year old girl was going to be shaving her head ina few days to raise money for cancer. I was simply shocked that someone so young would make such a sacrifice. I asked her to come back a week later so that I could create a before and after set of images for her.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Business as usual!
If you are a professional, should your image not also be professional? Doesn’t your image deserve more than just a badly light snapshot against a nearby wall?
In today’s multimedia world, your image will convey a first impression before you even meet your prospective clients.
A quality portrait conveys professionalism, trust and friendliness.
In the end, a professional business portrait will pay for itself many times over!
Dylan and Lydia
So I had a great time capturing these beautiful teens in love! Thanks Dylan and Lydia!!!
